In the last week Tracye and I have been conducting some research and maybe you can get involved if you would like.

What we are researching is the worship of Baal.... AKA the Babylonian moon god. 

The worship of the moon is a very old and very established religion / cult in the ancient world.

Temples to the moon god have been discovered all over Middle East and Asia Minor.

Do you know that a temple was even discovered in the ancient city of Ur? Folks, Ur is also the same city that Abraham hailed from and the same city God told Abraham to leave.

Gen 11:31 (KJV)  And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.

Gen 12:1 (KJV)  Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee:

But here is something interesting; do you know that it has its roots established in the modern world as well?

The reason we are researching is that Islam is in fact the worship of Baal, the Babylonian's moon god.

But more than that, over and over again God speaks against the worship of the moon.

Here are just a few examples of what I have found in scripture...

Deut 4:19 (KJV)  And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

Deut 17:3 (KJV)  And hath gone and served other gods, and worshiped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded

2Kings 21:3 (KJV)  For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshiped all the host of heaven, and served them.

2Kings 23:5 (KJV)  And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.

Jer 8:2 (KJV)  And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshiped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.

Here is something else... Recently Walid Shoebat and I were talking about his upcoming book in which he covers a lot of this, he pointed out the following verse to me…

Judges 8:21  Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, "Rise up yourself, and fall on us; for as the man, so is his strength." So Gideon arose and killed Zebah and Zalmunna, and took the crescent ornaments which were on their camels' necks.

Did you catch the word CRESCENT? This is a reference to the crescent moon ornaments that even in today’s Middle East adorn the domestic animals to those who worship Allah... aka Baal... Aka the moon god.

Did you note in the verses above that I reference it mention "High Places" ?

In the Middle East, what is the one symbol you see on the "high places"/roofs? 

You see crescent moons.

The worship of the moon goes way back before Islam, but it is Mohammad that brought it to the forefront of "modern day" and cemented it as "primary" world religion.

Here is some interesting research PZ Prophecy Partner Lonny sent me…

Archaeologists have uncovered temples to the Moon-god throughout the Middle East. From the mountains of Turkey to the banks of the Nile, the most wide-spread religion of the ancient world was the worship of the Moon-god. In the first literate civilization, the Sumerians have left us thousands of clay tablets in which they described their religious beliefs. As demonstrated by Sjoberg and Hall, the ancient Sumerians worshipped a Moon-god who was called many different names. The most popular names were Nanna, Suen and Asimbabbar. His symbol was the crescent moon. Given the amount of artifacts concerning the worship of this Moon-god, it is clear that this was the dominant religion in Sumeria. The cult of the Moon-god was the most popular religion throughout ancient Mesopotamia. The Assyrians, Babylonians, and the Akkadians took the word Suen and transformed it into the word Sin as their favorite name for the Moon-god. As Prof. Potts pointed out, "Sin is a name essentially Sumerian in origin which had been borrowed by the Semites. " (1)

Another name for the moon god is SIN… I find that very interesting.

I was reading Genesis yesterday looking for the first instance of the word SIN and here is what I found.

Gen 4:7  If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

What I find interesting is that in this verse, “Sin” is used in the form of a noun and not a verb. “Sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire.” Now this is not totally conclusive, I just found it to be an interesting coincidence.

Here is more about the worship of the moon god…

The evidence reveals that the temple of the Moon-god was active even in the Christian era. Evidence gathered from both North and South Arabia demonstrate that Moon-god worship was clearly active even in Muhammad's day and was still the dominant cult. According to numerous inscriptions, while the name of the Moon-god was Sin, his title was al- ilah, i.e. "the deity," meaning that he was the chief or high god among the gods. As Coon pointed out, "The god Il or Ilah was originally a phase of the Moon God." The Moon-god was called al- ilah, i.e. the god, which was shortened to Allah in pre-Islamic times. The pagan Arabs even used Allah in the names they gave to their children. For example, both Muhammad's father and uncle had Allah as part of their names.

The fact that they were given such names by their pagan parents proves that Allah was the title for the Moon-god even in Muhammad's day. Prof. Coon goes on to say, "Similarly, under Mohammed's tutelage, the relatively anonymous Ilah, became Al-Ilah, The God, or Allah, the Supreme Being."

This fact answers the questions, "Why is Allah never defined in the Qur'an? Why did Muhammad assume that the pagan Arabs already knew who Allah was?" Muhammad was raised in the religion of the Moon-god Allah. But he went one step further than his fellow pagan Arabs. While they believed that Allah, i.e. the Moon-god, was the greatest of all gods and the supreme deity in a pantheon of deities, Muhammad decided that Allah was not only the greatest god but the only god.

In effect he said, "Look, you already believe that the Moon-god Allah is the greatest of all gods. All I want you to do is to accept that the idea that he is the only god. I am not taking away the Allah you already worship. I am only taking away his wife and his daughters and all the other gods." This is seen from the fact that the first point of the Muslim creed is not, "Allah is great" but "Allah is the greatest," i.e., he is the greatest among the gods. Why would Muhammad say that Allah is the "greatest" except in a polytheistic context? The Arabic word is used to contrast the greater from the lesser. That this is true is seen from the fact that the pagan Arabs never accused Muhammad of preaching a different Allah than the one they already worshipped. This "Allah" was the Moon-god according to the archeological evidence. Muhammad thus attempted to have it both ways. To the pagans, he said that he still believed in the Moon-god Allah. To the Jews and the Christians, he said that Allah was their God too. But both the Jews and the Christians knew better and that is why they rejected his god Allah as a false god. (2)

In Tracye and I' research, we are seeing connections to many religions and even organizations that have ties to the worship of Baal, Sin, Moleck,  the moon god.

But not only that, it is undeniable that Islam and the crescent moon is the worship of Baal, the Babylonian moon god and they call him Allah.

How many other religions out there have their roots in the worship of Baal?

So here is a chance to get involved and where I could use some collective research help.

What religions, organizations, groups, ect associate some how with the worship of Baal or the worship of some sort of moon god? Where else have you seen the crescent moon? What religions or organizations associate with or have common ties to Islam?
