Q&A - How Do We Know The Path We Are On?

Hello Ray!
I have a really important question for you about your article "Are You Really Living for the Lord". How do we know the path we are on? If so many people claim to be good Christians, how do we know that we are "Living for God?" I totally understand the Sunday morning Christian reference; however where do we draw the line of what is acceptable and what is not?
I completely understand that we are not to love money or material things. My second question is, if you are fortunate to make decent money is it wrong to have nice professional clothes for work? Is it wrong to try to be the best you can be as long as you are not "cocky" about it or look down on others?
I just sometimes wonder if taking vacations is a sin or buying my daughter a new sweater she likes. I believe it is worthy of discussion. The world has so many people (pastors, ministers, priests, etc.) telling us so many different things. ~~ PZ Reader Paula
You ask some very good questions, the fact that it is important to you tells me that you are on the right path.
In today's world salvation is taught, but sanctification is not. Because of that, people stop at the cross and then use grace as a license to sin.
What is forgotten is that it does not end with the cross, that is where everything begins.
What we need to realize is that a very high price was paid so that we may be seen "spotless" before our Father God.
That sacrifice was Christ being scourged, mocked, tortured and then crucified. Read my latest article The Museum of Idolatry. I end it showing what the world is now mocking, our Lord and Savior.
Here is what scripture says...
Romans 12:1-2 (KJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
What did Christ do for us? He suffered at the hands of the world to pay for our sins.
What then is our reasonable service? To give our lives over to Him and the service of our Lord. Now, we are already Christians, we have the cross, but now we start walking the life of sanctification.
Please continue to keep Tracye and I in your prayers. I am looking very forward to finally being able to get outside again and start working on our garden. It is raining here and still cold and that makes it no fun. God blesses those who works with their hands and I am looking to get my hands dirty with that wonderful Texas dirt.

Folks we are living in tough times and when times get tough, the family needs to be priority. If you do not have a strong family during the hard times, your chances of making the storm with no serious problems on the other side are a lot higher. During the "great depression" strong families were able to weather almost any storm that was thrown at them.
With that said I thought that I would present a very good as well as very convicting sermon by Paul Washer titled "The Biblical Husband & Family." This is one for everyone to listen to, specially if you are a parent, dad and mom both need to hear this.

Hamas, Hizbullah May Push Israel to War

The Israel National News is currently quoting an "Aviation Week" publication as saying that the Iranian terrorist proxy groups Hamas and Hizbollah may end up pushing Israel to war in the near future. The article gives a likely war timeframe of this year or 2011. The report cited increased arms buildups of weapons past 2006 levels. The INN news article reports:
Worrisome escalations in arms stockpiling by Hamas and Hizbullah have convinced defense analysts that another war with Israel is on the horizon this year or in 2011, according to the highly respected Aviation Week.

Mark of the Beast?- Senate Considering National Workers ID Card

Cooking on the front burner in the U.S. Senate is a national identification card. The concept is that if you work in the United States, you will have to have this card which is embedded with your fingerprint and other information. The card will be a mandatory requirement for every person who wishes to work in the nation. It is aimed at cracking down on illegal immigrants--no card, no work. But it is tantamount to a national ID card where in order to have a job, the government requires personal authentication using your personal information. And it begs the questions, is this a forerunner to the mark of the beast; is this a further step in a tyrannical plan to control Americans?

Technocracy is a hypothetical form of government in which engineers, scientists, and other technical experts are in control of decision making in their respective fields. The term technocracy derives from the Greek words tekhne meaning skill and kratos meaning power, as in government, or rule.
Thus the term technocracy denotes a system of government where those who have knowledge, expertise or skills compose the governing body. In a technocracy decision makers would be selected based upon how highly knowledgeable they are, rather than how much political capital they hold.

Have you ever had a morning when you woke up and got out of bed, but never seemed to actually wake up all day long? Did you feel like you were in some sort of stupor? Maybe you took an allergy pill or some other medication that made you groggy. Maybe you just never went into a sound sleep the night before and are just so exhausted you are barely functioning. The cure for such grogginess might be to slug down a really strong caffeine drink and then go for a fast walk in some sort of rotten weather. I have had many of you write me about what one can do about preparing for the days ahead. We know as students of bible prophecy that the world is going down the tubes and the stage is being prepared for the Antichrist's reign.
