A Time For Change

In three weeks we in America will once again let our voices be heard and cast our vote.

I remember back in 1979 registering as a Republican to vote. The very first election where I placed my vote in was the 1980 presidential election. I proudly voted for Ronald Reagan. To date he is still my favorite president and it was an honor to cast my vote and help him into office.

Today I feel much differently. I am ashamed of the Republican Party as a whole and feel that they as well as the democrats are cut from the same cloth. I am reminded of the Nazi Party as well as the Communist Party of days gone by and lands long forgotten. The only thing that concerned these two parties was pure power, plain and simple. The only thing that concerns Democrats and Republicans today is also the same thing...the party who is in power.

Under the rule of both parties they have and are still willing to destroy the freedoms and liberties of the people without a conscience or regret as long as their party remains in control.

Eight years ago Tracye placed a call on the local Talk Radio show and she was fuming. Al Gore was stealing our vote via the “Chad Scandal” and she had about enough of it. Tracye got on the radio and told the world that she is going to stand in front of the Alamo and let her voice be heard. She was going to proclaim that Al Gore was stealing votes from the American people. She invited anyone who felt the same way to show up that Saturday in front of the Alamo.

800 plus people showed up that day and for several more weekends after that people continued to gather letting their voices be heard.

We were proud to help then Governor George W Bush get into office. He made promises to us and we stood behind him.

We are now sorry that we stood behind this man. He has lied and has not stood for the proper values that he said he would stand for.

That was then. Now instead of placing my faith in man, I have learned to place my faith more and more in God’s Word. Thanks to Christian maturity and God's guidance. It is through His Word, the Holy Bible, which leads me to the conviction that the two major political parties in this country are equally stripping this great land of ours of its founding principles, our service to God and our God given freedoms.

Both the Democrat and Republican parties are now cut from the same cloth. They have no honor or willingness to uphold the U.S. Constitution, even though they swear to it their first day in office. They also have absolutely no respect for America's foundational precepts, that being that this land was founded on the Biblical principals of God’s Holy Word.

Democrats are known as the tax and spend party; furthering our debt with out of control spending and passing the burden on to our children.

This President, the same one who made promises to us as well as the same president we stood for in front of the Alamo endorsing, has now increased that spending into the trillions. 8 trillion, that is being passed on to our children.

This is a debt that our children will have to pay and will never be able to do so.

I am ashamed to the point of nausea.

Neither party demonstrates any loyalty; that is unless they benefit from it financially or achieve a gain in power. Neither party is willing to stand in preserving and protecting our constitutional form of government. Both parties still show no resolve to saving the lives of our innocent unborn babies, standing against the sexual immortality of this nation, or putting God back in our schools.

As a God fearing man of God who stands on His word, I must abandon the two major parties. With that stated I am now officially and with honor, proudly putting my vote in with an independent party that truly represents America's founding principles and my convictions as a man of God.

We are living in the last days. We must be good stewards to the end. No longer can I cast my vote with the lesser of two evils. That is not good stewardship and neither party has shown to uphold my principals in God’s Word.

I must do what I am feeling convicted to do, and that is stand on the principals of our founding fathers, but above all, stand on God’s infallible Word. This is the Godly thing to do.

We as Christians must make our voices heard. We must remain good stewards. I will no longer cast a vote for the lesser of two evils.

You see…when we vote for the lesser of two evils, you know what?

Evil wins.

The time to change is now, while there still is a chance.
